Episode 14 - How this non-profit woman's health pharmaceutical company is fighting the stigma around birth control and contraception. Birth control is #NotAwkward.

On this episode, I sit down with Dr. Jessica Grossman - CEO of a woman's health non-profit pharmaceutical company called Medicines360. Dr. Grossman is a physician trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology who decided not to pursue practicing medicine as a traditional doctor. Her story is unique in that she chose to follow her calling of entrepreneurship instead. She moved to Silicon Valley, worked for some very well known corporate medical device companies including J&J, founded her first medical device company called Gynesonics, and is now the Chief Executive Officer of Medicines360.

Medicines360 is a nonprofit global women's health pharmaceutical company with a mission to expand access to quality medicines for all women regardless of their socioeconomic status, insurance coverage, or geographic location. How many of you have heard of a nonprofit pharmaceutical company? I know I haven't.

During this episode, we talk about…

  • The reasons why Dr. Grossman chose to follow a path of entrepreneurship instead of the promising career of a medical doctor.

  • What she learned through working for medical device corporations such as J&J and the challenges shes overcome in her earlier years

  • The purpose and mission of Medicines360

  • The unique business model of Medicines360 and how it has impacted women to this day within and outside of the U.S

  • And so much more…
