Today, we are celebrating not just my birthday, but the phenomenal work of women leading global health nonprofits. These trailblazing women and their organizations are creating significant changes in underserved communities around the world, and it's time their stories were shared more widely.

First on our list is JB Dondolo, a nonprofit organization founded by President and CEO Lumbie Mlambo. This organization works tirelessly to provide access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in underserved and impoverished communities. Their work not only addresses a basic human right but also uplifts women and girls, underscoring the critical role they play in societies. Through their efforts, JB Dondolo is proving that a focused, dedicated approach can significantly improve the health and wellbeing of communities.

Next, we spotlight the World Telehealth Initiative, founded and run by CEO Sharon Allen. This innovative organization uses telehealth technology to serve rural communities, bringing world-class medical care to those who might otherwise not have access. Their approach, leveraging modern technology to democratize healthcare, is an inspiring example of innovation in the service of global health.

Lastly, we turn our attention to The War Legacies Project, founded and led by Executive Director Susan Hammond. This organization educates the world about the enduring impacts of war and how it continues to affect people today. By advocating for reconciliation efforts and supporting those affected by the consequences of war, The War Legacies Project helps us understand that the ramifications of war extend far beyond the battlefield.

In the spirit of celebration, I am also thrilled to share the progress of our podcast. Since I transitioned from the corporate world to pursue this passion project, we've reached a milestone of over 800 downloads in the past month! I am deeply grateful for this journey and the connections it has allowed me to make.

Each of these women and their organizations embody the transformative power of passion and dedication. They remind us that everyone can contribute to improving global health, whether by starting a nonprofit, donating to a cause, or simply spreading the word about these incredible initiatives. So, as we celebrate today, let's also remember to celebrate the amazing work being done by these nonprofits.
